One of the most popular and enjoyable glitches in Halo 2 is often called Sword Sailing.
Sword Sailing This trick is used for reaching high places in Multiplayer Maps that normally would not be accessible. Exploration is the main purpose of this technique as it requires the help of an enemy player. Let me tell you how I have fun with sword sailing. I set up a simple Slayer Game Varient where players have the Overshield, the Rocket Launcher and the Energy Sword. Start this game varient with at least two players who are on opposing teams. Find a high map location that you have always wanted to reach like the roof of the base in Zanzibar. Have one player jump up in the air between this location and the second player. The second player, who has his energy sword out, should then press the right trigger button to lunge at the person jumping. Quickly press the "X" button after lunging so that you will "sail" beyond your enemy but not kill him. It may take a little practice to master the timing. This super jump will allow you to reach many fun areas of maps. You can then explore or simply take in the view. Once one player is up high, other players can lunge at the first player to join him.
Bonus Tip! You can sword sail by yourself by simply playing splitscreen with two players that you control. This will be more difficult however. Why did I include the rocket launcher in the game varient above? Read Glitch #2.
